Routine Cleaning:

  • Sweep or vacuum using the wand attachment, then follow with a laminate floor care product.
  • In very sandy areas, sweep or vacuum more frequently.
  • For spills or wet areas, immediately wipe with a cloth or sponge and clean with a proper laminate floor cleaner.
  • Laminate flooring, like other types of smooth floors, can become slippery when wet. Allow time to dry after cleaning.
  • Do not use soap-based detergents or “mop and shine” products as these may leave a dull film on your floor.
  • Do not wax or polish your floor.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring powder that can all scratch your floor.

Protect Your Beautiful New Floor:

  • Place a natural or colorfast mat at outside entrances to collect tracked-in dirt and absorb excess moisture.
  • For added indentation resistance, use floor protectors on chairs and other furniture. The heavier the item, the wider the floor protector should be.

High-Moisture Areas:

  • For all installation systems, it is generally a good idea to use 100% silicone caulk in areas of rooms where excessive moisture may be present such as at sinks, dishwashers, icemakers and around pipes.

100% silicone caulk must be used around the entire perimeter and 3/32” bead of glue on the top of the tongue only. Full bathroom installation for residential use only.

15 Year Limited Residential Warranty applies only in the following instances:

  1. Our warranty is valid for all the Fluent Floor Laminate floor coverings which have been installed according to installation instructions, provided in each box of laminate and available online, in rooms where they are exposed to the normal wear for their recommended End Use Category according to EN13329, but not in the event of unusual chemical or mechanical stress. The warranty applies for the date of purchase onward. The warranty is not transferable; its terms apply to the first buyer.
  2. The flooring must be installed in accordance with Fluent Floors installation instructions. Warranty does not apply if the laminate flooring has not been cleaned, maintained or cared for as recommended by Fluent Floors.
  3. Entrances should be protected by mats.
  4. Fluent Floors warrants its products against manufacturing defects that exist in its products prior to product installation. Flooring installed with known defects is not covered under this warranty. All product must be inspected for possible, recognizable defects before and during the installation as any right to claim under warranty becomes invalid after product with visible defects have been installed. Warranty claims can only be accepted if the products were delivered by the authorized dealer in the original packaging.
  5. The surface wear or damage must not be the result of abusive conditions, misuse of the product, freight damage, modification, alteration, repair or service of the product by anyone other than the authorized Fluent Floors representative, improper care or maintenance (see care instructions), or accidents, such as but not limited to severe impact, scratching, cutting, negligence or chemical, damage. Gloss reduction is not surface wear. The surface wear must be readily visible from the distance of 6 feet, measuring at least 1 square inch. Wear-through at the edges of the Fluent Floors flooring is excluded from the warranty.
  6. It does not cover water damage caused by natural disasters, standing water (e.g. from appliance failures), excessive moisture emissions from a concrete slab, hydrostatic pressure, pet urine or any other animal by product, or other corrosive liquids or outside water (from snow, rain or water which enters through an open window or door, etc.).
  7. The flooring must be installed in a dry, climate controlled, and indoor, residential environment.
  8. Moldings and accessories are not covered by this warranty.
  9. Use of a floor steam cleaner will damage your floor and void your warranty.
  10. Abrasion Resistance – A claim under the warranty for abrasion defects will be justified if an area of at least one square centimeter of the color has completely rubbed off. However, rub-off defects restricted to the edges of the panel are not covered by the warranty.
  11. Light fastness according to blue wood scale not worse than 6. Test method according to EN20105. With the exception of natural aging.
  12. Resistance to the following products, but must be cleaned immediately: acetone, hand cream, natural fruit or vegetable drinks, fats, coffee, soda drinks, nail lacquer or similar products.
  13. Any Fluent Floors products designated as "discontinued" or "z-items" are not covered by the above warranties.

Any claim must be made in written form and be accompanied by the original sales receipt or proof of purchase. The claim must be lodged within 30 days of the defect in question having become apparent. We reserve the right to inspect the defects ourselves or to have it inspected by our authorized agents, before recognizing the claim.

All compensation under warranty will be strictly in proportion to the market value of the goods in question. The current value is determined on the basis of the warranty period. For example: the compensation payable for Fluent Floors product of end use class 31 / private reduces 1/10 p.a. compared with the original value of goods. If the claim under warranty is recognized, the customer will be provided with the necessary replacement panels free of charge by the dealer from who made the original sale. The costs of the installation, nor any normal wear and tear, are not covered by the warranty. In the event Fluent Floors flooring not being available in the required color, a selection will be made from the product range of equal or lesser value available at that time.

*No Warranty - "Cabin," "Tavern," "Country," or "As Is" **If your floor is sanded down to the bare wood and a new finish is applied, all finish warranties must be assumed by the finish manufacturer.
